Our mission is to create a trusted village where every participant feels seen, supported, and equipped to build lasting confidence, stability, and success.
Meeting the Hearts Behind the Village
The Village It Takes was born from a belief our founder has carried throughout her years of mentoring: young people deserve more than support—they deserve someone who truly sees them. Someone they can trust, someone who believes in their potential, and someone who reminds them that today’s circumstances do not define tomorrow’s possibilities. Their voices matter. Their dreams matter. Most importantly, they matter.

That same belief extends to the entire family. Parents and caregivers will not always have every answer—and they should never feel ashamed for needing support along the way. What began as a personal commitment to mentoring and advocacy has become The Village It Takes: a welcoming community rooted in genuine relationships, practical guidance, encouragement, and a whole lot of heart!
